Dr. Oetker Ready to Roll Marzipan is made with fine Californian almonds and Moroccan almond butter to create a superb flavour and texture which can be rolled out easily to achieve a smooth surface on your cakes. It has the natural nut colour of almonds and contains no added colouring.
Our Marzipan can be used as a covering layer on all types of cakes, baked in to all types of cakes and can also be used for making delicious confectionery or for modelling decorations. It goes perfectly with our Regal-Ice Icing.
Each 454g pack is carefully wrapped in foil to maintain freshness and contains enough icing to cover a 18cm (7inch) round cake or 15cm (6inch) square cake.

To use, knead Marzipan until soft and pliable and roll out on a surface lightly dusted with icing sugar. Roll out to a thickness of approx. 5mm (¼inch), lifting and turning to ensure the Marzipan does not stick to the surface, until it is the correct size for your cake.
Thinly cover the cake with smooth apricot jam. Use the rolling pin to help lift your marzipan and drape over the cake. Smooth into position using the palm of your hand, working from the centre to the edges and down the sides. Trim away any excess marzipan using a sharp knife.
For best results allow to dry for 24 hours before icing with Dr. Oetker Regal-Ice Ready to Roll Icing.
