Pisellini con pancetta

A popular dish throughout Italy with green sweet peas, onions and bacon. Created by Marco Roccasalvo, head chef at Campo de’Fiori. Marco recommends to serve with Ristorante Pizza Speciale by Dr. Oetker.

For the salad:

150 g Frozen Garden Peas
Onion x 1
50 g Pancetta
35 ml extra virgin olive oil (2 Tbsp)
2 g Salt (pinch)
ground black pepper

Cook peas following the instructions on the bag

Heat oil in a frying pan and add the onion and bacon. Fry for 3/4 minutes until the onion is golden brown and bacon is crispy

Add the peas, a pinch of salt and pepper

Leave to cook on medium heat for 4 minutes and serve in bowls
