we can all feel good about

Dr. Oetker is on a journey to support people in making more choices to feel good about. Not just for themselves, but the world around them, too. It’s why today, we put sustainability at the heart of all our thinking. In practice? Amongst other efforts, this means introducing clearer labelling of ingredients and nutritional values across all our products, to be more transparent and enable our consumers to make better choices. It also means working hard to minimise our environmental footprint, while improving the livelihoods of the people and communities we work with. We know there’s still a long way to go, but together, we’re heading in the right direction.

There are lots of little ways we’re making our products more sustainable and better for you, too.

Like introducing new 100% plant-based products, sourcing more ingredients more sustainably and working hard to make all our packaging recyclable by 2025. From 2022 onwards all our own sites will be carbon neutral, and we’re committed to being carbon neutral for all direct and indirect emissions by 2050. Positive changes that together, add up to food choices we can all feel good about.

Better for you and just as tasty

We’re adding Nutri-Score labelling to our range, to help you compare the nutritional values of our products more easily with foods of the same product group, or alternative foods of a similar product group.

Less Salt, Less Sugar

We’re continuing to reduce sugar, salt, fat and calories from our products. For example, by 2025 our cakes will have 10% and desserts 15% less sugar, and our pizzas will have a maximum 1g salt per 100g.

Vegan

Our new vegan and plant-based options help support modern dietary lifestyles and reduce environmental impact.

High in Protein

Our high protein pudding range helps dessert lovers maintain a more balanced lifestyle.

Free from

An increasing number of our products are free from GMOs, added MSG, artificial additives and artificial ingredients.

Good products need to come in responsible packaging

Overall, we’re committed to make all our packaging recyclable by 2025.

We use recyclable paper instead of plastic wherever sensible and possible, and when we do use plastic, we make sure that it’s as recyclable as possible. These are our basic principles when it comes to our packaging design, and they guide all our wider packaging initiatives, too.
