Preparation:

Add the whole spices to a mortar and grind to a fine powder. Mix in the remaining spices and immediately place the gingerbread spices in an airtight container.
Tips
Tip: Whilst ground ingredients can also be used, the essential oils in freshly ground whole spices are stronger and have not yet dissipated.
